The Ludo Couple with a Heartbreaking Story
Iqra Jeewani (19) from Pakistan and Mulayam Singh (21) from India had a fascinating love story until it ended tragically. Known as the ludo couple, both youngsters met online over a popular online game.
They hit it off and decided they wanted to be together forever by tying the knot. However, loving across borders is not as easy as one thinks. The young ludo couple knew this kind of love was impossible, but they didn’t want to give up.
Within some time, Jeewani’s family started to pressure her into getting married so the couple decided its high time they try their luck. They planned a plan in which Iqra travelled to Nepal where he was waiting for her.
The two got married and moved to Banglore, India where they started to live together. However, a couple of months after, Jeewani was detained for entering the country illegally and Yadav was jailed for fraud and forgery.
The 19-year-old returned home last week while her better half still remains in jail. “We want them home,” said Yadav’s brother Jeetlal. “We understand the situation between India and Pakistan. But all they did was fall in love,” BBC quoted Jeetlal as saying.
In order to unite, the ludo couple had to take some illegal steps. Yadav arranged a fake identity card for her and took her to India. There, the man would go out to work while the wife would stay home. However, she frequently called home via WhatsApp which led to the end of her love story.
“As of now, there is no offence made out against her other than just coming into the country illegally,” S Girish, deputy police commissioner in Bangalore’s Whitefield district, told the BBC.
However, Yadav’s mother still has a wish that the couple will one day reunite with the government’s help. “We don’t care if she’s Muslim or Pakistani, she’s our daughter-in-law. We’ll take good care of her,” she was quoted as saying.
This is not the first time an Indo-Pak couple tried to find their way to each other. A woman was caught by Indian police at the Attari Border in Amritsar while trying to cross over to reach Pakistan last June.
Head Over Heels on Social Media
In recent years, social media and the internet have become popular ways for young couples to connect and fall in love. With the rise of dating apps and social networking sites, it’s easier than ever for people to find potential partners online.
One trend that has gained popularity in recent times is the use of mobile games to connect with others. Games like Ludo Star, for instance, have become a popular way for people to socialize and interact with others in a fun and relaxed environment.
With features like chat rooms and multiplayer mode, these games provide an excellent platform for young couples to connect and get to know each other.
Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok have also become popular tools for young couples to connect. With the ability to share pictures, videos, and messages, social media allows couples to get to know each other better and develop a deeper understanding of each other’s interests, values, and beliefs.
One reason why social media and the internet have become popular among young couples is the convenience factor. With busy schedules and hectic lives, it can be challenging for young people to find the time to meet potential partners in person.
By using social media and online tools, they can connect with others from the comfort of their own homes and at their convenience.
Another reason why social media and the internet have become popular among young couples is the ability to get to know someone before meeting in person.
This can help alleviate some of the nerves and anxieties associated with first dates. By chatting online and getting to know each other first, couples can build a foundation of trust and comfort before meeting in person.
However, it’s essential to remember that online relationships can have their downsides as well. It’s important to stay safe and protect your personal information when interacting with strangers online.
Young couples should also be aware that the person they are interacting with online may not always be who they claim to be.
