Exploring Roots in Pakistan & Korea
Exploring Pakistan firsthand, Anna discovered a country rich in culture and warmth, vastly different from the bleak image often portrayed. After marrying into a Pakistani family, she delved even deeper into Pakistani culture, finding surprising parallels with Korean customs. Inspired by this newfound understanding, she dedicated herself to promoting a positive image of Pakistan in Korea, bridging the gap between perceptions and reality.
These days, Anna embraces life in Pakistan with newfound enthusiasm, relishing the freshness of experiencing a country she had never lived in before. Connecting with her Korean friends and establishing a small Korean community in Lahore has been an immensely rewarding experience.
Together, they explore potential business opportunities and foster cultural exchanges with their Pakistani friends. This immersion into Pakistani life feels like an adventure filled with endless opportunities to learn and grow. The vibrant energy of Lahore, coupled with the warmth and hospitality of its people, has captured her heart. In this new chapter of her life, Anna is discovering a profound sense of belonging and excitement, making Pakistan her current favorite place to be.
Netflix & Fame
Netflix executives initially approached Kim’s brother, Ali, to appear on the television show, recognizing him as one of the wealthiest Pakistanis residing in Gangnam. However, since Kim was in Korea at the time and the executives had seen her YouTube videos, they decided to interview her instead. Ali graciously stepped aside, allowing his sister to join the main cast. Kim saw this as a valuable opportunity to present a different perspective of Pakistan on a larger platform.
It took Kim and her husband two months to decide whether to participate in the show, partly because their haveli was under construction. Ultimately, she agreed to join the main cast, with her company facilitating all necessary arrangements for Netflix Korea in Pakistan.
Working with Netflix was a completely different experience from Blitzer’s music video production, where Kim was not the primary focus. In contrast, for “Super Rich in Korea,” Kim had to manage the production aspects while also being a central figure on the screen.
