On Monday, Karachi’s administration imposed a new set of SOP’s, keeping in mind the current spread of the coronavirus. All restaurants in Karachi are advised to move out of the air-conditioned areas into open space as the second wave has been expected to be worse than the first one.
According to details reported by a local media outlet, Karachi’s Administrator, Iftikhar Shalwani, has banned indoor dining services in all restaurants from Tuesday onwards. While some restaurants offer both, many do not have an open area set for guests. To keep the business running, restaurants have reportedly set tables out on the street.
The administrator has instructed all deputy commissioners of Karachi to ensure that the rules set are being followed vigorously. Several areas in Karachi are already strictly locked down due to exceeding cases being reported.
Here is a list of restaurants still operating in the open air:
1 – Springs Mart
2 – Xanders
3 – Lal Qila
4 – Mews
5 – New Burry Cafe
6 – Bella Vita
7 – Meat The Cheese
8 – Chaupal Desi Exotic Buffet

9 – Cafe Jardin
10 – All Restaurants at Do-Darya, including Kolachi, Kababjees, Charcoal, and many others.
Other than these restaurants, Coffee Wagera, Koel Cafe, Cafe Vintage, Cafe Alynto, Foods Inn, Big Tree House, Bambou PK, the Vegas Studio, Del Frio Gulshan, Juicy Lucy, Howdy, New York Cafe, Easy, and so many more are open for dine-in under the open sky.
We have all witnessed how badly trapped we were the first time a strict lockdown was implemented. Please follow all SOPs and follow instructions before a complete lockdown is implemented again.
