Their food cart, is a standout in a sea of street vendors. Javeria and Sabih’s journey began as a humble endeavour to make ends meet due to the rising inflation in the city of lights, however, it quickly transformed into a thriving business. Their secret ingredient? A shared passion for food and an unwavering commitment and immense hard-work.
Sabih is continuing his studies of becoming a Chartered accountant and has begun this food cart as a business. Here is what he has to say about their tumultuous journey so far,
“We faced many difficulties and I was ready to give up a couple of times. It took me 8 months to start this food cart and it was only possible because my mother has been standing besides me throughout.”
Meet Javeria – The Supermom that Bakes and Runs a Food Cart
Javeria has been an inspiration for women out there who are thinking of starting a business venture of their own. Being a supportive mother, she has supported her son wholeheartedly by ensuring he does not squander away his hard-earned investment.
Instead of hiring helpers for the food cart she manages the cooking and serving by herself with her son Sabih from 6 pm till the early morning hours when they return home.
Javeria is a full time mother and also owns her personal baking business which she has been running from home successfully.
“It has been extremely tiring but fulfilling at the same time. I am managing the house, my baking business and this food cart all at the same time. There are times when I end up crying but I buck up myself and say it’s going to be alright.”
