To curb rising safety issues against women in Pakistan, the developers of IYZIL have launched the country’s first female security app.
With a significant increase in harassment cases, it was found that almost 93% of women have been subjected to at least one form of harassment or abuse.
The high number of harassment cases and a deep sense of insecurity is the reality of women across all social classes. The murder cases of Zainab and other young girls and women escalated the public’s anger and increased fear.
So, how does IYZIL help? Female users can download the app and use it instantly to get help if they find themselves in the following situations:
➢ Not Feeling Safe
➢ Being Harassed
➢ Medical Emergencies
➢ Incident (Abuse, Kidnap, Rape) Protection
➢ Stay Connected with Family
➢ Fear of Travelling Alone
➢ Fear of Living Alone
➢ Fear of Staying Home Alone
➢ Fear of Driving Alone
How to Get Started
There are 4 easy steps:
- Create an account
- Customize the settings to set up the alerts
- Add personal respondents (Friends & Family, people they trust in time of need) from their contacts, and a text message with an Iysave App Download link will be sent. Once the Personal Responders download the Iysave App and accept it, the female user will be paired with their Personal Responder
*Note: Please ensure that your contact has the Iysave App downloaded on their phone - Users can trigger the Panic Alarm by Shaking the Phone (Recommended), by Pressing the Volume Button thrice, or via an In-App Button to share their location with their Personal Responders and Iyzil’s 24/7 Professional Monitoring Services in case of an incident.
Feeling unsafe is my default existence, it just shows the state of sad affairs. We did not debate about it. We could not disagree and dismiss it. Instead, we started thinking of a solution – a solution that would change the placard to ‘Feeling safe is my default existence’ because safety and security are human rights. -CEO Qasim Mueen
Moreover, IYZIL App is fully integrated with a Professional Monitoring Service that will not only help the female user at the time of the incident but also informs security agencies and reports the incident.
