Amid the growing number of cases of COVID-19, Pakistan has come under a complete lockdown. All malls, restaurants, and other entertainment areas have been closed until further notice. Schools and universities have also been shut down. Work hours have been reduced significantly.
The government of Pakistan is trying its best to control the virus.
However, the CIE’s and local exams were decided to be conducted as scheduled. Due to the violation of SOPs outside the exam centers in the latest development, exams have been postponed other than A2, who have a compulsion to take exams now.
Federal Minister Education, professional training, National Heritage and culture, Shafqat Mehmood announced the news on Twitter:
Addressing health concerns of students and parents All exams cancelled till June 15 and depending on the spread of the disease may even go further. Cambridge exams postponed till Oct/Nov for all grades. Only exception for those in A2 who have a compulsion to take exam now

Contrary to some critics, no one is shying away from exams. The atmosphere to hold them right now is not conducive. Gladly bring them on in Oct/Nov
