#BoycottGulAhmed Takes Over Social Media Following Karsaz Accident

Natasha, the woman behind the wheel in the Karsaz accident that claimed the life of a father-daughter duo was identified as the wife of Danish Iqbal, a tycoon.

Furthermore, it was found that both husband and wife are deeply involved in businesses. Danish Iqbal currently serves as the Chairman of Gul Ahmed Energy, its subsidiaries, and Metro Power Group.

Recently, social media went viral with the hashtag #BoycottGulAhmed to retaliate and to raise awareness about the incident. However, what social media didn’t realize is that the Natasha that serves as the Chief Executive of Metro Capital (Private) Limited and JSDN Electric Limited. Additionally, she is a member of the Board of Directors for Metro Power Company Limited is not Natasha Danish, she is Natasha Iqbal.

Natasha Iqbal who serves on the Board of Directors for several of Metro Power’s associated companies, including Swift Storage & Services (Pvt.) Ltd., Gul Ahmed Bio Films Ltd., Gul Ahmed CBMC Glass Co. Ltd., Metro Solar Power Ltd., Metro Property Network (Pvt.) Ltd., and Metro Storage & Services (Pvt.) Ltd is the sister of Danish Iqbal (CEO Gul Ahmed energy) who is the main accused, Natasha Danish’s, husband.

In the wake of a tragic accident that resulted in two fatalities and four injuries, a case was filed at Bahadurabad Police Station against the female driver, named Natasha in the First Information Report (FIR).

The incident occurred around 6:30 pm on Monday, after which police and Rangers took the driver into custody and brought her to the police station. The driver, who also sustained a head injury, was then taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a medical examination.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the woman appeared to be intoxicated and attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by bystanders and handed over to the police.

The deceased, identified as 62-year-old Imran Arif, and his 23-year-old daughter Amina, along with the injured, were transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal procedures and medical treatment. Among the injured was 55-year-old Abdul Salam.

A case was registered at Bahadurabad police station following an FIR lodged by Imtiaz Arif, the brother of one of the deceased. The FIR included charges of culpable homicide and negligence, with Imtiaz alleging that the deaths of his brother and niece were due to the driver’s “negligence, reckless driving, and speeding.”

A Twitter user named Sheikh Nabeel called on the people of Pakistan to boycott Ideas by Gul Ahmed, stating, “Natasha, who killed a father and his daughter in a road accident, is the wife of Danish Iqbal, the current Chairman of Gul Ahmed Energy Limited, part of the GUL AHMED GROUP.”

Another Reddit user demanded justice for Amna Arif, who, along with her father, died in the Karsaz Road accident. The user noted that Amna, just 25 years old, was pursuing an MBA at Iqra University while working at Systems Limited, but her life was tragically cut short by a reckless driver under the influence, connected to Pakistan’s elite and the Gul Ahmed Group.

On X, another user expressed outrage, warning, “Don’t be fooled by Gul Ahmed’s crocodile tears! Their Chairman’s wife is a killer on our streets. How many lives are worth their profits? BOYCOTT GUL AHMED NOW!” The post demanded accountability and urged a boycott of the company. Chairman of Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, Mohammed Zaki Bashir, who is also a member of the Board of Directors of Gul Ahmed Power Company (Private) Limited, is linked to Danish Iqbal, Natasha’s husband.

According to the Metro Power Company website, Natasha is the Chief Executive of Metro Capital (Private) Limited and JSDN Electric Limited, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Metro Power Company Limited. She also serves on the Board of Directors for several associated companies of Metro Power, including Swift Storage & Services (Private) Limited, Gul Ahmed Bio Films Limited, and others.

Despite the growing boycott campaign, Gul Ahmed has yet to issue any official statement.
