The dynamic power couple in the Pakistani entertainment industry, Sunita Marshall and Hassan Ahmed have received immense praise for their roles in the ongoing blockbuster drama serial, Baby Baji that airs on Ary Digital. The soap has become garnered acclaim and adoration from fans all over and has over 500 episodes making it one of the longest shows in the country. Essaying the roles of Naseer and Asma the real life couple also plays the not so loving on-screen couple from Baby Baji.
The couple have always been open about their life journey and have spoken about their fairytale love story on screen too. The duo has a perfect family life with two wonderful children and have achieved success in their careers as well. Similar to Baby Baji’s family, Sunita and Hassan also reside with Hassan’s parents and have embraced the concept of a joint family system.
Balancing Family Life with Baby Baji
In a recent interview with Fuschia, the duo was asked about their roles in Baby Baji and how the experience has been working together. Hassan Ahmed mentioned that they have worked together on a project once already and this time around it was much easier. Hassan also spoke about being offered Jamal’s role but he chose to play Naseer’s character. The character may be hated by all on television and the credit goes to Ahmed’s brilliant acting as the angry man Naseer.
Sunita added that she took on the role of the ‘innocent’ Asma, three days before the shoot began. Giving much importance to family life and their children, the couple mentioned they normally do not sign on projects together as it hinders their time with their children. However the Baby Baji team promised to work according to their schedules and successfully made it happen.

On talking about joint family systems in Pakistani households, both Marshall and Ahmed spoke about the multiple benefits of living in a joint family system and gave an example from their own joint family setup at home. Working in the entertainment industry the couple credited Ahmed’s parents for stepping in and taking care of their children whenever the need arose. Ahmed also mentioned that the elders in any family keep the younger generation grounded and he cited the same for his own household.

The couple further spoke about joint families and added that a big family such as one shown in Baby Baji with four sons and their wives and kids may be difficult to live in. However, if there are fewer children such as one son then a joint family is the way to go. The positive thoughts the duo shared are much appreciated in an era where every newly wed wants to live in a nuclear way.
