Anil Kapoor is a household name in Bollywood, and one thing is for sure, this man hardly ages! For someone who is about to become a ‘nana’ Kapoor is still young and winning hearts.
Recently, Anil Kapoor starred in ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ along with Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Nitu Kapoor amongst others. While promoting their new film, Kapoor was captured wearing a jacket that has been made by Pakistani brand Rastah.
Rastah is a fun and youthful fashion label that aims at reinterpreting South Asian heritage and artisanship into urban luxury. Zain Ahmad, the co-founder and creative director of the brand took it to his social media handle to share his surprise.
He tweets- Woke up today and was pleasantly surprised to see the legend @AnilKapoor in Rastah for his new film ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’!

Titled ‘Desi Denim Jackt’ on the official website, this article is already SOLD OUT. Moreover, it is a handwoven, denim jacket consisting of two panels. The upper panel is constructed using entirely hand-woven denim made in Kasur by our house artisans.
The Rastah logo is hand-painted on the front by a single artist. The denim is attached to the lower panel with raw edge detailing. The bottom panel is made of cotton fabric with exclusive floral block printing. Frayed sleeves and body hem. Raw edge patch pockets consist of both block print and denim fabric.
The Desi Denim Jacket is a conversational piece that juxtaposes a traditional western fabric in denim and Pakistani block print alongside each other.
We are static to see that Pakistani brands have created a wave, especially in the international markets. Stars like Anil Kapoor donning a ‘Made in Pakistan’ brand is an achievement that should be celebrated with zeal and zest.
We have yet to see how many more celebrities follow the trend and also wear funky articles from Rastah in the upcoming days.
