After successful trials, McDonald’s is finally testing it’s very own plant-bases burger known as the McPlant.

Moreover, in the future it is believed that the consumer’s interest in McPlant could extend a line of products that are plant-based including sandwiches for breakfast and substitute for chicken.
The P.L.T burger was seen as the front runner for a contract since it had taken trials at almost 100 McDonald’s location in Ontario, Canada. The P.L.T burger above is mentioned in a blog post in which the company stated:
‘Based on what we learned and an encouraging response, we’re excited to give you a sneak preview of the McPlant – a delicious plant-based burger crafted for McDonald’s, by McDonald’s, and with the kind of craveable McDonald’s flavor our customers love.
The popular McPlant will be served on a fresh, warm bun with sesame seeds and all of the classic toppings. ‘
Even though there are several plant-based burgers out there – the blog post states that McPlant will devour your taste buds by delivering the best taste and make you save that one last bite to enjoy for hours;
‘There are other plant-based burgers out there, but the McPlant delivers our iconic taste in a sink-your-teeth-in (and wipe-your-mouth) kind of sandwich.”
It is still not clear if the latest McPlant is a re-named P.L.T or an entirely new creation. However, International President Ian Boren mentions that the McPlant was created entirely by McDonald’s and for McDonald’s.
His shared his thoughts regarding McPlant as a ‘delicious burger that will be the first menu iption in a plant-based platform’
