The summer is about to end in Pakistan. We are headed to the winter season, also officially shadi season in the country. Businesses associated with the wedding industry are all geared to welcome the season. One such business based in Lahore, namely known as HibaAsim, exhibited their bridal couture collection “Naina dae aakhay” on their official social media pages.
The designer reveals in the caption of the post that the journey of this collection was ‘dreamy’ and that it is presented with ‘love, passion, and hard work’.
“The collection “Naina dae aakhay” is us, is Hibaasim’s dreamy journey from hiba n asim to Hibaasim. In this collection, we presented our love, passion, the hard work to the ones who acknowledge our struggles and strengthen us. The gratitude in our mind and heart is immense!”
People may lay their eyes on the clothes due to their look and style. However, what caught our attention was the pose of the models in the bridal shoot. After looking at the campaign, we couldn’t determine what was going through the mind of the art director/director of the shoot.
It is evident that the concept of the shoot was not quite spot on.
Even internet users were uncomfortable looking at the images. While many tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and put it under the cap of artistic freedom, many couldn’t fathom a bride lying on the desk in front of her groom.
This is how the internet reacted to the images on the designer’s Instagram Page
