The Pandemic has hit all of us badly and has practically made the world come to a halt. Even though in Pakistan, the SOPs weren’t followed or implemented in its entirety, some responsible citizens have been wearing masks, trying hard to stay socially distant and washing hands as much as they can, in order to minimize the rise in the number of cases.

However, while the lockdown has been eased in a few parts of the country and offices have resumed, there are STILL people in Pakistan who have been neglecting SOPs, failing to be responsible inhabitants and treating masks like a carry-on accessory.

One such incident came to the forefront when an image of the IBA Karachi, one of the most prestigious institutes in the country, surfaced on the internet with officials wearing masks that were allegedly ‘photoshopped’.

Even though the news comes as a relief for some students, there was something strange about the pictures shared.

The following was posted on the website:

As the image shows, all of the attendees can be seen wearing face masks, right? Wrong!

One twitterati was observant and quickly caught the photoshopped masks in the image.

This is the original picture:

Soon after he posted another image, highlighting that two of the attendees were holding face masks in their hands.

None of the attendees are seen wearing face masks in this photo.

Obviously the netizens were quick to judge, bash and troll:

Some appreciated the skills and the level of smartness portrayed:

While some were highly disappointed in the system and shocked at the length one can go too:

We haven’t gotten any official, exclusive statement on this or know for a fact that this is completely true, or an attempt to undermine one of the best institutes in the country; but people noticed and now they won’t chill.

IF this is true, then it is highly disappointing for an institute such as IBA to go to such heights, to merely suggest that the attendees adhered to the COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

We truly hope that our educational institutes start taking the current pandemic seriously and encourage employees to strictly follow SOPs rather their covering up lack thereof.
