Drama serials have become a great part of Pakistani culture. People from all walks of life, whether working women and men, homemakers, couples, teenagers, and even some children, love to watch drama serials.
Not just Pakistanis, even overseas people admire Pakistani narratives and are hooked to their Tv due to them. Our neighboring country India is also equally interested in our dramas. Safe to say, we have a great fan following for Pakistani dramas there too.
2022 already looks promising for Pakistani drama serials. We have combined a list of 5 drama serials we are looking forward to, and you shouldn’t miss either.
1 – Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo
In 2021, Mahira Khan made a comeback to our Tv screens. In 2022, Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan is making a comeback with the drama serial Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo, which will be aired on Hum tv. The drama serial will adapt to Farhat Ishtiaq’s novel that goes by the same name. Further details about the cast haven’t been revealed as yet.
2 – Kaala Doriya
Kaala Doriya is an upcoming drama serial on Hum Tv featuring Farhan Syed and Sana Javed in lead roles. Saima Akram Chaudhry writes the screenplay of the drama. It is being directed by Amin Iqbal and produced by Momina Duraid.
Talking about the project, Amin Iqbal revealed: “It’s a beautiful family play, full of emotions, penned by the famous and seasoned writer Saima Akram. ‘Kaala Doriya’ is like a baby for her. She has a writing style, though this is different from what she has written before.”
3 – Qismat
Qismat is a drama serial that will air on ARY Digital soon next year. Actors Hira Mani and Noor Hassan will be playing the lead characters in the series. Sana Shahnawz and Samina Humayun will be producing the drama serial. The director of the show is Ali Raza Usama. Muneeb Butt and Aiza Awan will also be part of the case for the show.
4 – Main Manto Nahi Hoon
Main Manto Nahi Hoon is an upcoming drama serial for ARY Digital. The theme of the drama serial is getting fans already excited. Infamous writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has written this drama serial. Nadeem Baig will direct the show under the Six Sigma Plus Production. [Pretty much the same team as super-hit drama, Mere Pass Tum Ho (2019).
In lead characters, Humayun Saeed and Maya Ali, have been cast. The two will be appearing on the screen for the first time. The drama will be an emotional love story in the Urdu language.
5 – Shaam Se Pehle
Shaam Se Pehle is a Pakistani drama ARY Digital will be bringing on its channel in 2022. The actors in the main lead will Shahroz Sabzwari and Saboor Aly. The director of the show will be Ahmed Bhatti. Nadia Ahmed is the writer of this drama, which will be produced under the banner of IDream Entertainment Production.
