VITAL Pakistan Trust Hosts “Pink Tea” to Champion Women’s Health and Wellness

Karachi, October 2025: In a vibrant celebration of women’s health and empowerment, VITAL Pakistan Trust (VPT) hosted its Pink Tea event, “Sip & Support,” at a local restaurant. The gathering brought together leading women from diverse sectors to promote maternal and child health and highlight the importance of early awareness and wellness initiatives.

The event opened with a welcome speech by Mr. Peter Joaquim Lobo, Associate Director of Resource Development and Communication at VPT, followed by an overview of VPT’s impactful journey shared by Mr. Akbar Rajani, Chief Executive Officer.

Since its inception, VITAL Pakistan Trust has provided 358,939 pregnancy care services, safely delivered 41,030 babies, immunized 324,214 children, and counselled 469,636 women for birth spacing, with 226,943 women availing family planning services across Karachi and Sindh. These milestones reflect the organization’s commitment to improving maternal and child health outcomes in underserved communities.

The evening featured an engaging lineup, including “Think Pink: Spreading Awareness, Saving Lives” by Dr. Ammara Manzoor (NIBD), a Wellness Session by Ms. Azra Maqsood, and a Keynote Speech by celebrity Srha Asghar, who emphasized women’s empowerment and the need for continued advocacy in healthcare. The event also included a video message from Isra Chakar, CEO of Every Pregnancy.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Rajani said, “At VITAL Pakistan Trust, we believe empowering women with knowledge and access to care is key to building healthier families and communities.”

The event concluded with tea, networking, and shared reflections on collective efforts to support maternal and child health. Through initiatives like Pink Tea, VITAL Pakistan Trust continues to inspire partnerships and dialogue that help advance healthcare equity for women and children.
