Khalil-ur-Rehman Says, Mahira Khan’s Tweet Against Him was a “Nasty Remark”

The Mere Pass Tum Ho writer, Khalil ur Rehman appeared in a talk show with Vasay Chaudhry hosting the program. The two had an elaborate discussion on many controversies and scandals that followed the ill-famed writer after he burst out on National tv on journalist Marvi Sirmed with cuss words.

One such controversy happened when Khalil ur Rehman’s clip was circulating on social media. In the clip, Rehman called out Adnan Malik a ‘Hijra’. Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan tweeted after the writer commented on Adnan Malik.  She said on the micro-blogging site, “I am shocked at what I have just heard and seen!! Sick to the core.”

She was extremely upset and questioned why this man (Khalil-ur-Rehman) is given project after project? A man with such thinking shouldn’t be allowed to openly promote hate against women in any form. She added, “This same man who abused a woman on tv is revered and given project after project because of what? We are as much to blame if not more for perpetuating this thinking!”

Adnan Malik also expressed his views about the writer

Rehman didn’t respond to the actress then, but he finally opened up about it with Vasay Chaudhry. He said,

“My relationship with Mahira Khan is of utmost respect. I respect her immensely and she used to respect me a lot too. For me, it was a nasty remark when she tweeted against me. I was startled. She could have called me and addressed her concerns with me personally, so I could have explained to myself what had happened and that I didn’t mean it.”

Ayesha Omar Opens Up About Hamza Ali Abbasi’s Comments Over Items Songs

Ayesha Omar is known for not revealing a lot of details about her personal life and her choices. However, the star finally spoke about a fiasco that took place a few years ago where fellow actor Hamza Ali Abbasi publicly denounced item songs in Pakistani films altogether.

During an interview with Vasay Chaudhry, Ayesha opened up about what happened when Hamza Ali Abbasi commented on item songs.  At the time, Ayesha Omar’s item song, Tutti Frutti from Karachi Se Lahore, had hit the internet, and there was a lot of buzz around it. Fans assumed Abbasi had directed those comments towards Ayesha’s item song.

She said the comments were not directed at her firstly.

“It was his personal opinion, and I respect it”.

Ayesha added she had many differences with many friends on many topics, which obviously doesn’t mean she can’t be friends with them. In fact, she fully supported Hamza in what he wishes to endorse and not endorse based on his moral values/ideas and opinions.

Ayesha recalled a moment in Dubai where 25 actors were hanging out together after a week of Hamza publicly criticizing item songs, at a certain award function. She said several of the actors joked about his comments and teased him that he himself has appeared in a movie with women partially uncovered and has been publicly denouncing item songs at the same time. In response, Hamza had said, “Maaf karo mujhay”. Ayesha then added jokingly, she has the whole thing recorded and will blackmail Hamza one day when required.

Hamza Ali Abbasi has currently discontinued working in the industry as he wants to move towards projects affiliated with religion. He is taking time off to understand and analyze his journey in this world. We wish him all the best of luck!

Yasir Hussain Lands in Social Media Crossfire With Nausheen Shah

Pakistani actor Yasir Hussain is well known for stirring controversy as the star is usually caught expressing himself without any filters in front of the camera. His problematic statements are usually what makes headlines. This time around, Lahore Se Aagay made insensitive comments on model/actor Nausheen Shah. He said Shah had attended his wedding forcefully.

Yasir was questioned by the host Vasay Chaudhry on a talk show if there were any gate crashers at his wedding. The star laughed at first and, after being insisted, said, “Our wedding card was on social media, so technically, everyone had it. One of the famous personalities that attended the event ‘forcefully’ was Nausheen Shah.” To add fire to the fuel, Chaudhry added, the reason why she must’ve joined you without being invited is that she’s not married yet and would want to have a look at how they are like.

Galaxy Lollywood approached Nausheen regarding the matter. The star was shocked at first and then said, “Would anyone go to someone’s house uninvited? I wouldn’t go to anyone’s house if I wasn’t invited, let alone someone’s wedding. A fool is known by his speech and a wise man by his silence. Yasir called me himself and invited me. I feel so sorry for Yasir because, certainly, he has serious memory issues. I also feel really sorry for Iqra. She is taking one for the team.”

Soon after Nausheen’s response, Yasir lashed out on his social media, ready to provide media with screenshots of their conversation by uploading them where Nausheen is begging him for the wedding location. He said the whole system is flawed in talking about the backlash he received after passing on rude comments.

“If I am wrong for speaking the truth, then people who are asking such questions are also wrong, people who are watching the channel are also wrong, those who sensationalise the statements and present it to the audience are also wrong and even the people who are laughing over such matters are wrong. The whole system is flawed. I can’t be the only one to be blamed for it. Stop this truth or dare or rapid-fire for ratings. It’s a request to the audience, that if you want to see a copy of Koffee With Karan, then have the heart to listen to the answers as well.”

He concluded by saying, “Do not get personal with the celebrity and call them out over their this or that statement. Watch the show, enjoy it and then move on. Don’t get mad over it”.
