Several local news publishing sites confirm that Pakistan’s biggest Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) will be held in the capital city, Islamabad, this 12 Rabiul Awwal.

A high-level meeting was chaired by Imran Khan on celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi with full religious zeal and enthusiasm. The premier said that ceremonies would be organised throughout the country during the conference to mark this day.

He said that Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) would be celebrated appropriately. Additionally, the most meaningful ceremony of Pakistan’s history to celebrate this day was also announced during the meeting. The premier was provided with a detailed briefing regarding the special preparations to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

Imran Khan took it to his Twitter to convey a message in Urdu that said that Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) emphasised almost 1500 years ago that “our actions on this earth must consider their impact on our future generations.”

“We Muslims should have been the leading environmentalists caring for our future generations.”

He cited a command by Hazrat Ali (AS) that focused on the same topic. Hazrat Ali (AS) says that the “work for this world as if you will live forever and work for here-after as if you will die tomorrow.”

Sindh Announces Public Holiday on 12 Rabi ul Awal

The provincial government announced yesterday that the 12th Rabi ul Awal will be an official public holiday in Sindh, falling on October 19. A ban has also been imposed on pillion riding as part of security arrangements on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH).

Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has Announced a Discount

Pakistan International Airline (PIA) made a special announcement on the auspicious occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW). The airline has reduced airfares by 12 per cent on all domestic routes. The discount offer will be valid from October 14 (today) midnight till the 12th of Rabiul Awwal (October 19).

The United Nations (UN) termed Pakistan International Airline (PIA) as a ‘harassment-free carrier. At an event in Islamabad, the national airline will receive harassment-free airline honour.

Sources confirm that the event was attended by PIA CEO Arshad Malik, Federal Ombudsperson for Women’s Protection Kashmala Tariq, and UN representative. The CEO, Air Marshal Arshad Malik, said that the airline aims to promote a safer environment for women to travel.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), United Nations (UN) Women Pakistan, and the federal ombudsperson for protection against harassment (FOSPAH) in Islamabad signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote safe mobility for women. They also pledged to prevent harassment of women in public and workplaces.

According to a press release, “There are perceived and real risks that limit women’s mobility and capacity to contribute to the country’s social and economic success. It is every woman and girl’s right to be able to move freely and without fear of being harassed,” it stated.

Slowly and gradually, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), also the national carrier of Pakistan, is regaining its lost reputation and trust among travellers. It has also been reported that the national carrier is selling older planes and will replace them sooner with new aircraft. The national carrier is taking all the proper steps to further elevate the organization’s reputation and get back on track and become one again ‘great people to fly with’.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has gained fame and earned appreciation from international organizations in the past month. This also includes the United Nations (UN) for uplifting foreign nationals and journalists from Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, in August—the same day the Taliban took over Kabul. Additionally, continuing its compassionate flights carrying food aid to Afghanis.
