Noor Al Sabah has made history by winning 23 gold medals for standing first in different subjects. The talented student from Lahore won her medals at the 11th convocation of King Edward Medical University (KEMU).
A student has bagged 23 gold medals altogether for outstanding academic achievement for the first time. She didn’t just make history but was also named the best all-around graduate at the institute’s administration convocation.
On this auspicious occasion, Noor was questioned by the media about her plans to which she responded that she wishes to contribute to the development of this great nation. She also credited her parents and teachers for her success. “I credit my parents and teachers with this success,” she said.
Noor’s parents told the media that they have never felt as proud and excited as now after their daughter made history and succeeded academically with flying colours. Their happiness knew no boundaries, reports a local publisher. In future, Noor’s parents hope she will excel in her further studies and make the country’s name brighter.
Another student, Hamza Ashraf Zia, who won a silver medal, also credited his parents for his success on occasion. As per reports, 800 students were distributed medals and degrees by the Punjab government. 654 were MBBS students, while 100 were post-graduate
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, on occasion, announced a cash prize of half a million for her from his pocket. Adding to her gifts, the KEMU Vice-Chancellor Khalid Masood Gondal announced Rs 50,000 cash prize.

Pakistani origin Amna Ashraf has become the first woman of Pakistani origin in France to receive the french award for her services in education and social welfare. In France, the National Order of Merit is the second national order after the Legion of Honour. It is presented to those individuals who have indicated merits in the exercise military, public, or civil function or private activity for at least 10 years.
