Veteran Pakistani actress Nadia Jamil, who was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer earlier this year, has finally returned home safe and sound, reports ARY News. The actress turned to Instagram and shared the happy news with her followers.
In the post while leaving the hospital she wrote, that she can finally see the sky and smell the air. “We did it”, she kept saying, with a beaming smile on her face.
“Bald, brave, bold and beautiful is how I feel today. I get knocked down. But I get up again, ain’t nothing gonna keep me down,” she wrote in one her earlier posts.
Nadia has undergone several rounds of chemo in London, UK and has constantly kept her fans and followers updated with her journey. With a big smile on her face, the fearless star has remained positive and urged everyone for prayers and positivity. She is a true inspiration for so many ladies fighting a battle with cancer.
The next few months will be focused on rehabilitating her body and it’s a long road towards recovery. She revealed that she has developed diabetes during her cancer but feels blessed to be cancer-free, to be able to survive and get back to life.
As soon she got out, she was excited to return to a normal life. She had to get a lot of chores done, her flat sorted and looked forward to catching up on desi dramas while sipping on her mother’s chai.
She also revealed how she almost went into coma and the doctors had nearly lost her.
“There was a stage where it was difficult for me to perhaps come back. I was out. They were prepared to let me go but my heart and breath fought through those two nights.”
Nadia Jamil’s Battle with Cancer
Nadia Jamil has suffered several health issues in the past as well. She has had a brain surgery a few years ago, and had shared updates on the famous Facebook group ‘Soul Sisters’, where she had gained quite a number of fans.
However, in an unfortunate and unexpected turn of events, Jamil took to Twitter on April 3rd, 2020 and revealed the heart wrenching news about her cancer diagnosis, Express Tribune reports.
She said, “Last week, I was diagnosed with cancer and now I’m four days into treatment.”
Its stage 1 breast cancer/grade 3 tumour.Regular self checks are important ladies!Please act fast if you feel any abnormalities. Do NOT ever ignore your body,your health. I now await my surgery date & am feeling positive & loved. Please dont worry & take good care of yourselves❤️

Jamil expressed the plethora of emotions she had felt ever since she found out about her condition. She was scared, anxious, unsure and nervous, just like any normal person would be.
“In the last few days, I have felt all sorts of feelings, from apprehension and fear to unbeatable love to calmness and acceptance. Patience, overwhelming gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility towards my children, parents, loved ones, myself and you.”
She elaborated on the type of cancer she was fighting.
“Its stage one breast cancer and grade three tumour. Regular self-checks are important ladies! Please act fast if you feel any abnormalities.”
When sharing her news back in April, she urged all the ladies to not be negligent about their bodies and themselves.
“Do not ever ignore your body, your health. I now await my surgery date and am feeling positive and loved. Please don’t worry and take good care of yourselves,” she said.
