Khanpur Dam has not yet garnered a reputation for itself as a tourist spot. It is located on the Haro River in Khanpur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, about 50 km from Islamabad on Taxila Haripur Road, and is mostly enjoyed by the locals.
What are Some of the Activities that are offered at the location?
The dam offers some great water and other adventuresome activities that include cliff diving, paragliding, snorkeling, jetski, boating, parasailing, safari tours, mountain adventurous, shooting sports, fishing spots, corporate team building sports, etc.
It is an ideal location for people who wish to unwind during their summer vacations outside the city as there are no restrictions put in due to COVID-19. Since it is not a tourist spot yet, the experience won’t give you a dent in your pocket such as in Hunza, where water sports is expensive and charged by the minute.
