The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) plans to give Karachi its first zip line in Bagh Ibne Qasim near Clifton. This is to provide entertainment to the general public with leisure and sports opportunities.
The city administrator, Murtaza Wahab, who fills in as the Sindh government’s spokesperson, confirmed the news. The Director-General (DG) of Parks, Junaid Ullah Khan, informed BOL News that the proposed zip line would be 3,000 feet long. It will be run from Kothari Parade to the Bagh Ibne Qasim boundary wall on Clifton Beach Road.
He said, “The total length of the zip line ride at Karachi’s Bagh Ibne Qasim will be 3,000 feet.” He further added that sealed bids from companies had been invited by parks and horticulture departments to operate and install a zip line for 10 years.
He said, “The best, suitable, and interested parties have been asked to submit their feasibility plan by February 22nd, with a complete design of the installation of the zip line, the time required for its installation, and the material to be used thereof.”
Entertainment Facilities in Sindh
The Sindh government has also made other efforts for public entertainment. In October 2021, Sindh’s chief minister, Murad Ali Shah, inaugurated ‘Manora Waterfront Beach.’ Moreover, a ferry service from the Clifton area to Manora beach is to launch by the Sindh government.
The recreational project is worth Rs. 650 million. Shah told the media at the inauguration ceremony that the government has developed the Manora beach to provide a clean, secure, and safe family creational place for the people of Karachi.

Karachi’s Green Line BRT (Bus Rapid Transit System) is now fully operational with 80 Buses & 22 Stations. Good news for residents in Karachi! The Green Line BRT is now operational to commute between Surjani Town, and Numaish Chowrangi from 7 am to 10 pm. The maximum one-way fare is Rs55, and the minimum is Rs15. The capacity of each bus is 200 to 250 passengers, and they comprise a complete system from wheelchairs to USB ports.
