Interesting Facts About Assistant Commissioner Hazim Bangwar
For those who are unaware, asides from being a bureaucrat, Hazim Bangwar is a singer and model. His fashion sense will leave your jaw on the floor. The 30-year-old is more like a Gen-Z pop icon and is changing the representation of bureaucracy in Pakistan.
The model cum singer belongs to an affluent background with multicultural roots. His mother is of Iraqi descent and his father has already served as the deputy inspector General of Police.
He used to live in New York where he attended Midwood High School. Bangwar moved to London where he finished his First degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from AIU London and later a second degree in Law from the University of London.
During his academic days, he made his own music. His demos have been heard by big names in the music industry including Evan Rogers and later shipped out to Interscope Records where Jay Brown, an A&R executive at the record label, was one of the first to hear the demo. After Jimmy Lovine, the CEO at Interscope Records heard the demo and he signed a two-year deal with Bangwar.
Hazim Bangwar released his first title ‘Haram’ in 2019 which trended on top in India, Egypt, Hungry, and South Korea, making him the first Pakistani singer to reach the international charts with an English song. In 2022, he released his second title named ‘Hell Ya’ which earned him fame in France, Ghana, South Korea, and Austria.
