The establishment of a National Job Portal was approved by Prime Minister Imran Khan to provide opportunities to the unemployed youth of Pakistan.
During a meeting with Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Darr, he gave his approval and said that the youth are a precious asset of the country and it is the priority of the PTI government to support them.
During the meeting, Usman Dar shared detailed guidelines regarding the National Job Portal and consultations are also being held for the Tiger Force. Apart from that he informed the Prime Minister about the Kamyab Jawan Programme and progress on the supply of loans to the youth.
The latest National Job Portal will facilitate the unemployed youth to find jobs in public sector and is also a part of the digital transformation that comes under the initiatives taken by the country.
The job opportunities will be mailed through a back end portal which will help the employers in hiring skillful and deserving candidates on merit keeping transparency in mind.
The National Job Portal will also provide citizens with useful and verified information regarding jobs.
Moreover, agencies and federal departments will be bound to post and advertise vacancies on the job portal. PM Imran Khan held a meeting of the Policy Committee overlooking the Prime Minister’s COVID Relief Fund to review utilization of funds mentioned yesterday that our Pakistani youth is the most generous nation.
A press release issued by the PM Office media wing said:
“Full transparency will be ensured in using donated funds”
Approximately Rs 4.8 billion rupees in donations were received by the fund from overseas and Pakistan. Rupees 3.8 billion rupees were domestically contributed and rupees 1.08 billion were donated by international donors.
Furthermore, a matching funds policy was also announced which specified that for every rupee donated into the fund, 4 rupees would be matched by the government and to keep the promise, 19.55 billion rupees have been matched by the government.
The Prime Minister had publicly announced two policies in regard to this fund, ensuring that these funds would be spent through the Ehsaas Emergency Cash to assist the people who lost their jobs due to COVID-19.
Each of the 2 million families have been supported by receiving 12,000 rupees each by Ehsas Emergency cash through the funding steam.
The National Job Portal is a new path of hope for many COVID job affectees and we are thankful to PM Imran Khan for coming up with this initiative.
