You can no longer hold multiple passports in Pakistan.
The information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said during a press conference held earlier this week that people owning more than one passport would be forced to submit the additional ones to the government. The passports would be seized by the government through Passports Act 1974. “We will also create a framework to stop this practice in future and procedural work is expected to complete till 31 December 2022,” she said.
The government has announced that the last day for people to willingly submit their extra passports is 31 December 2022.

It was reported earlier by news publications that federal cabinet during a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to cancel multiple foreign passports under the Passport Act.
The news shocked people on social media, and many didn’t understand the purpose of it. The decision applied to those who have a foreign citizenship/passport but it was cleared that the decision would not apply to foreign citizenships or foreign passport holders by the minister.
Marriyum Aurangzeb gave the clarification on the 13th of May that the discussion of the Federal Cabinet on May 10, 2022 only approved the cancellation of more than one Pakistani passport.
“News of cancellation of foreign passports was misreported,” Aurnagzeb said. “It is a crime to have two Pakistani passports. The last date for revocation of two Pakistani passports is December 31, 2022.”
