Tensions have immensly grown in Palestine and its surrounding settlements as protesters protest against Israeli crimes in Gaza. Regardless of the fact that these protests were peacefill, Israeli defence forces attacked Muslims praying on the night of Layla’tul’Qadr, near Al-Aqsa mosque. Within a few minutes of the attack, violence erupted.
Al-Jazeera says that during the past few days, the Israeli border guards have used skunk water, tear gas, rubber-coated bullets and shock grenades to disperse sit-ins held in support of the families facing eviction in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood.

Pakistan singer, Asim Azhar also took to Twitter to express how he feels about what is currently happening in Al-Aqsa: “I am sickened & disgusted. Hamza Ali Abbasi’s wife, Naimal Khawar Khan also took it to social media to condemn the act. She said: “Imagine this happening to you! To your brother, husband, mother, to your children! How would you feel?” she questioned. “Please share as much as you can. Palestine needs us to speak up right now!”
Super models, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid’s father is Palestinian, so naturally they felt grief towards the people attacked in the violent act. Bella said she couldn’t believe the hate in the heart of people against Palestinians, saying “Palestine cannot be erased”.
“My sisters and I, we speak in a family group chat every day. Mostly about Palestine and all that goes on. It is so hard to put into words how I feel,” she added.
“I feel the pain of my ancestors. I cry for them. I cry for my Palestinian brothers and sisters, there now, feeling unsafe and scared. This needs to stop, there is no room for this in 2021! My sister Alana wrote perfectly how I feel today. We are proud to be Palestinian and we stand with Palestine,” Hadid said
