Pakistani actress Armeena Khan wants women to seek help if they are feeling suicidal.
The star recorded an emotional video after shooting the suicidal scene for a show she worked on. The scene impacted Khan so much so that she was teary-eyed during the recording of the short clip where she addresses women directly.
In the clip, she informs women that there is help out there and they must seek it because as long as there is life, there is hope and the difficult times shall pass. She recently posted on her Instagram
“This particular scene was very upsetting to enact. I know some of you are facing difficulties in your own lives. So I recorded this video to reach out to you. I have waited nearly 6 months to release it.”
She then emphasizes the fact that you need to know that you are not alone and that help is not far away. “Please know, you are not alone no matter what, marital issues, negative thoughts, bullies, whatever life throws at you – Seek HELP! As long as there is life, there is hope; this too shall pass.”
She thanked her fans for understanding how complex her character is, “Thank you to all those who watched and understood the complex trajectory of this particular character with a multitude of mental health issues. I tried my BEST to convey these. If I have failed in this, forgive me and I will do better in the future.”
Khan also reminded people at the end of the clip that the series is just for television and no one should take this seriously. However, she worked hard to play the role with all her soul and wishes to return back to television again. “If I have done justice then thank you from the bottom of my heart because I have played this role with my soul. Lots of love, till we meet again (on-screen). Life is short, enjoy every moment.”
