Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) gets its first female dean, Dr. Sadaf Aziz, who will be heading the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL).
Previously, Dr. Sadaf Aziz was an Associate Professor at the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law. She has taught in the areas of Jurisprudence and Labour Law. She is also one of the founding faculty members of the School of Law at LUMS.
Over the few years, Dr. Sadaf has held visiting fellowships at the universities of Cambridge, Michigan, Oxford, and NYU. She participated in the second Melbourne Forum in 2017 and published a book, “The Pakistani Constitution: A Contextual Analysis” in 2018 by Hart.
Dr. Sadaf has completed her doctoral dissertation at the University of Melbourne. Her research was focused on the field of law and society and concentrates on the interplay between Islamic and secular legality the political impact of the rule of law narratives.

A user on Twitter claimed that this development came forth after 35 years. Even though we haven’t been able to confirm this piece of information, if true, it is an excellent achievement for LUMS as a leading university in Pakistan.

We all know how little kindness can change people’s lives, but we rarely come across people such as Ansar Ali, whose story will fill your heart. Ansar was a waiter at a restaurant in LUMS who left his education at an early age to make ends meet after the sudden demise of his father. The students discovered him during their project – Humans of LUMS. This is where they got a chance to sit down and talk to Ansar and learn about his struggles.
