A famous saying claiming that your learning process starts from cradle to grave is spot on as life is constantly teaching us something every second. We learn a new word, a fun fact, absorb news and happenings around the world and much more.
However, there are also some important life lessons that our female friends teach us. Speaking from experience, most of my close friends are females, moreover, they are independent, and supportive, and have my back kind of friends who have taught me so much in my professional and private life.

1. Learn to Prioritize Yourself & Those Who Prioritize YOU
It took me years to learn how to do this, but eventually, I realized how important it was for me to prioritize myself. Being the eldest daughter in the family, I have always been the mature and responsible one who compromised along the way. Be it in a professional environment or at home, I always kept everyone before myself, but little did I know that it was a mistake.
Life became soo busy and overwhelming in the game of juggling my career, family, friends, and other social activities that I forgot about that one person who mattered the most, myself. After many lectures and lots of support, it was my squad who made me realize why it was necessary to prioritize myself and those who understood my value.
The truth is, everyone is busy, and we all have a limited amount of time to invest, and since you can’t give time and energy to everything and everyone, take a minute to step back and look at the bigger picture. Because once you are finally able to take this step and walk down this path, life indeed becomes a tad bit easier.

2. Yes, It’s Okay to Let Go
Letting go is literally one of the hardest things to do in this world. Whether you let go of a good job that you’ve had for years, or of relationships that drain you emotionally and mentally. However, at the end of the day, you need to realize that one must let go of their past in order to embrace the (better) future.
Being an emotional and headfast person, letting go does not come easy for me. I am one of those people who will try and try again no matter how hard the objective may be, which eventually makes letting go more difficult. However, my girls have taught me that it is okay to step back, take a deep breath, and open your fist.
Hanging on to old things, places, jobs, people, and sometimes holds sentimental value but is not worth it at the end of the day. Time, conditions and jobs do not wait for anyone, so why should you wait for things to get better when you can let go of all things toxic and move forward towards better opportunities and surround yourself with positivity?
3. You’ll Make Mistakes, Mistakes will Make You
While many think being human and having flaws is something that is a negative trait, I believe that our flaws make us imperfectly perfect. Think about it, if we weren’t able to make mistakes, how could we learn from them and improve ourselves or help bring improvement otherwise.
Honestly, even thinking about making a mistake was something I could not comprehend, maybe that’s a common trait especially if you’re a Libra and a perfectionist by nature. However, my friends eventually taught me that making mistakes makes me all the more human and gives me scope to learn from those mistakes, improve, and prove myself.
If it weren’t for them helping me iron out the wrinkles in my life, I don’t know what I would have done, and would have been just lost.
