Nabila Maqsood and Nadia Hussain are two separate powerhouses that cater to two completely different clientele. These two powerful women have grown and expanded their beauty businesses in different areas. We have seen them learn, adapt and, most importantly, grow over the years. In a sad state of affairs, we are now seeing them both fight over their face palettes.
As an extension of their business and, of course, a true reflection of their ambition, the two have entered the makeup arena where they are trying to come up with locally available products which are easy to use for women ‘on the go’.
In recent developments, Nadia Hussain dropped her Go Makeup Palette and received a nasty comment from Nabila saying, “Don’t you have a brain of your own?” Nadia responded to Nabila and went ahead with posting screenshots of the conversation, calling her insecure. All in all, things turned ugly.
‘On the go’ face palette is a new refreshing idea. However, the layout of the product is pretty much the same as Mac’s Pro Face Palette. So it is clear that something of a similar layout already exists in the international market.
Even though both the products are backed up with the same philosophy of empowering women on the go, it serves a completely different target market. Here is how:
1 – Pricing
Nabila’s Zero makeup palette comes with a price tag of 5,900 PKR, a steep price point for the quantity and number of products you get. However, it has garnered a reputation over the years and has become a must-have in some people’s bags for quick touch-ups.
Nadia’s Go Makeup Palette just dropped for Rs. 3,500 and has more products on the go palette than Nabila. It is relatively new, so there aren’t many reviews up online for you to consider at the moment.
2 – Products
Nabila’s palette comprises concealer, blender, blusher, lip stain (all cream-based) and powder. In contrast, Nadia’s palette comprises 2 cream concealers, 2 lip/cheek pigments, cream contour, crease eye shadow, lid eye shadow, highlighter, and face powder.
3 – Matte Look vs Shimmery Contoured Look
If you need just a little bit of touch-up and want to keep it formal, then Nabila’s palette may be the answer for you as it delivers a matte look. However, if you wish to go a little overboard as per occasion, Nadia’s palette is all you need! A little party hurts nobody.
4 – Cruelty-free & Paraben-free
Across the world, people are more and more leaning towards cruelty-free and paraben-free products. Nabila’s products are advertised as both. However, there is not much info about Nadia’s products online.
