Dr Ayesha Khan has become the first officer from Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS/DMG) to be posted as Assistant Commissioner(ut) in Gilgit-Baltistan. She was born and raised in Punjab. Before joining the civil service, Khan completed her MBBS at Nishtar Medical College in Multan and became a doctor.

In a post, she wrote, ” Immediately after completing my MBBS from Nishtar Medical College Multan, I embarked upon my journey towards CSS. Despite the difficulties and hurdles, I stayed confident and believed in the Almighty. My journey became easier as I sought guidance from proper mentors. All in all, CSS is not a piece of cake, but if one is passionate, it is not impossible. I’m thankful to Allah, my family, and my teachers for guiding me and believing in my abilities. My advice to all aspirants is to work hard under proper guidance i.e.to work smart.”

She announced the news of her posting on the micro-blogging site. She said, “Proud to be the first female officer from Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS/DMG) to be posted as Assistant Commissioner(ut) in Gilgit Baltistan. May Allah help me become an example for other female officers to follow, and may GB see more female officers in future. Ameen”

She wishes to become an example for other women, so they join the service too.

It is definitely a proud moment for a mother to see her children serve the nation to the best of their capability.

Khan reminisced the day last year when she joined Civil Services Academy on Twitter. She said in a tweet, ” It was the same day last year when I joined Civil Services Academy. I remember we were all waiting for our IT test. I requested our IT teacher to allow me to go outside for a minute to say good bye to my mom.He was kind enough to allow me to do that.”

Khan says moments like these are ‘completely with it.’
